Red, Hot Ferrari 458 Italia with a Custom Matte Black Hat – Customization of the Week at Auto SuperShield Auto SuperShield installed a paint protection package on this exotic car. The film used was 3M Scotchgard paint protection film. The areas protected include a full hood with wrapped edges, front bumper cover, headlight protection, mirrors, wheel opening, door cups and door handles. Auto SuperShield also installed matte black vinyl on the center portion of the bumper. The windows were also tinted with 3M Color Stable which is a black carbon window film. This particular film is truly black in color and also provides great solar protection. This 458 Ferrari has a red / black theme inside and out. So, to top it off we wrapped the roof with a black satin vinyl film. Oracal 970 is a matte black film with a nice satin sheen and a true black color. This film does look different than just plain, flat matte black. Some matte black films look more grey than black. When you purchase this particular Ferrari 458 Italia model, there is an option to have the roof come in black rather than red. You would pay approximately $15000.00 (ouch!) for the upgrade to a black roof! However, if you come to Auto SuperShield, we can wrap the roof, antenna and rear hatch panel for a factory look for only $750.00. With his extra cash, our customer went and purchased a sweet set of black HRE wheels to finish off his red, hot 458 Italia. Not that he was hurting for the extra cash………….. Happy ……
